The Caniday team has over fifteen years of combined professional dog care experience. In addition to private pet sitting and fostering for rescues, founder Rachel has worked in kennel care, grooming, and veterinary medicine settings. Before moving to New York Rachel was hosting doggy daycare in her Delaware home full time, and she is thrilled to be able to continue to offer her experience and care in her new home state. A life-long owner of dogs, Rachel knows how hard it is to leave your dog with someone; the Caniday team is passionate about providing a home away from home for your beloved pets and a worry free experience for you!

Meet our Team

Hannah Colton
Social Media Manager
Hannah is heavily involved in the local dog community and currently pursuing professional dog training qualifications. Along with creating our online content, she helps with canine care and daycare management. She is a member of the North Country Kennel Club. She has a special place in her heart for dogs who struggle with reactivity (and their owners!)
Hannah helps us offer mini-maintenance 'training' practice sessions for our boarders.
Caniday hopes to offer training services later this year.

Miles Spagnola
Facilities Director
While still a full time active duty service member, Miles lives on the property and his lifelong passion for dogs and home improvement projects makes him a valuable part of our team. Miles helps out wherever he is needed, and loves getting to meet new doggy friends! His favorite breed of dog is the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and his favorite dog activity is cuddling.

Resident Canines
Peppy, Cassie, & Rigatoni
All three resident dogs are dedicated to making sure the Caniday experience is enjoyable for all dog visitors. Peppy (terrier mix) is welcoming to new friends, and excellent at demonstrating the best nap spots. Cassie (Chihuahua) loudly makes sure we never fall behind on the dinner schedule, and also holds the official position of Treat Taste Tester. Rigatoni (?? mix) brings a playful energy to the group, and has never met a dog he didn't like!
All three of the kids are rescue dogs, the girls are both about 8 years old and were adopted back in Delaware (Cassie was a foster fail!), Rigatoni is 3 years old and came up from Texas earlier this year.
